Women Leading Change on the North Shore is a special fundraising event hosted by Hollyburn Community Services Society, bringing together women leaders, philanthropists, business professionals, and community champions for a meaningful morning of conversation and impact.

Elizabeth Mah
Founder Paperclip Law
Elizabeth is the founder and owner of Paperclip Law, a company created with clients and culture in mind. Clients walk away without any of the aftertaste they expect after seeing their lawyer: they fully understand their decisions, they don’t feel looked down upon, and they have the peace of mind that they made the big legal decisions best for them, their family and their business.
With a business degree, a law degree, and some luxury hotel service training in her back pocket, Elizabeth returned to North Vancouver, where she was born and raised, to put all those things together to create Paperclip Law. Elizabeth is a proud winner of the Top 40 under Forty Awards.
When not in the office, she loves experimenting in the kitchen and hosting friends and family, retreating to the spa to escape the hustle and bustle, spending precious time with her husband, and snuggling with her two little girls. In her pre-mom life, she loved traveling to very far away places, eating warm meals out when they arrived at the table, watching hockey games at the arena or on TV (even on school nights!), sleeping when she wanted to, and peacefully walking the Seawall.

Brianne Aparicio,
Owner WREDI Projects Inc.
Born and raised on the North Shore, our founder Brianne grew up in a family of builders and developers. From a young age, Brianne felt the tug of the real estate business but challenged that feeling and headed off to work in London and Madrid on the heels of achieving her master’s degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 2009. She came home to nest in Vancouver while still working in marketing, product management, and brand strategy. She wasn’t home long before giving in to the siren song of real estate. Brianne joined the family business and dove headfirst into development working on multiple projects to rezone, design and build over sixty (yes, 6-0!) new multi-family homes in North Vancouver.
In 2023, Brianne brought her passion project—WREDI—to life to use her expertise to help other women build diverse real estate investment portfolios. When she’s not dreaming about real estate, interior design, or renovating a Spanish villa, Brianne likes to travel, ski, try new restaurants, and get out in nature with her husband and three young children.
Hollyburn’s Survivor Safety Fund
Funds raised will support Hollyburn’s Survivor Safe Fund, a rapid-response fund that provides immediate, practical support to survivors fleeing abuse and violence. For someone leaving an unsafe situation, safety often depends on having support at the exact moment it is needed.
Leaving violence is often not one decision. It can involve fear, uncertainty, risk, and urgent practical needs.
- A survivor may need transportation to leave safely.
- A safe place to stay that night.
- Food, clothing, personal items, or support for their children.
- Someone to believe them, walk alongside them, and help them take the next step.
Established in honour of Susan Wilcockson, The Survivor Safe Fund helps remove urgent barriers by providing access to safe transportation, emergency accommodation, and essential items so survivors and their families can take their next step toward safety.
